Home Depot (on Newhall Ranch Road) has a monthly free kids' project. It's always the first Saturday of the month so October's is THIS Saturday from 9-12. You can come anytime during that time period. This month's project is a firetruck. They get a Home Depot apron, a project kit, a certificate, and a pin! The best part, for my children, is they get to use real tools. All done! Then we went to Michaels to buy paint and painted them at home.
