The Year in Review and Looking Ahead

2006 was a tough year for me personally as most of you know. I lost my mother and my grandmother. I can't thank you enough for all of your patience, cards, flowers, and kind words. Your precious little ones sure have kept me smiling this year. With the new year right around the corner, I am pleased to tell everyone that our prices will remain the same for both sessions and portraits. A few new policies will be put in place beginning January 1st, 2007 in order to have a smooth year. The website will be updated with these soon. Those of you who have already reserved a spot for our January LOVE letters sessions will be receiving an email from me soon requesting a deposit to hold your spot. There are three days in January reserved for LOVE Letters mini-sessions. To view those dates, please click the "studio calendar" link to the right.



Deposits
To reserve any session, a nonrefundable deposit of half the session fee is required. When you book an appointment, your name will be tentatively added to the calendar. If a deposit is not received within three days, your name will be removed from the calendar and your session time will become open again. Deposits can be made in any of the following ways:
1) mail a check
2) bring a check or cash in person
3) call with a credit card number
4) pay online with a credit card by asking for a paypal invoice


Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a session, notification must be made within one week of your appointment in order to use your deposit towards a future session. If you cancel after the one-week mark, you will forfeit your deposit.

Ordering Appointments
Regular studio sessions and beach sessions will now include an ordering appointment. At the time of your session, we will schedule a day and time for you to view your portraits at the studio on a large screen. We will be using new viewing/ordering software that will assist you in selecting and previewing your images. You will even be able to see the actual size of each image and the crop that will be used to obtain that size. Everything purchased at the ordering session will be discounted 5%. After your ordering session, your images will be available for viewing in an online gallery for 10 days so you will still be able to show your faraway family and friends.

Online Galleries
Mini-sessions (including the park) will not have ordering appointments. Your mini-session images will still be available in an online gallery for 10 days only. After 10 days, your gallery will automatically be removed from the website. There will be a $25 fee to re-post a session.


Free print with mini-sessions
In order to receive a free 5x7 portrait with your mini-session, your order must be placed before the gallery expires (10 days).

Copyright Information
Thanks to some honest friends and clients, I have learned that many people are not aware of copyright laws. The images taken by Mitzi are owned by Photography by Mitzi Mandel. It is illegal to reproduce your purchased images in any way. This includes scanning photos at home or on Kodak Picture Makers in stores, making Christmas cards not purchased through Photography by Mitzi Mandel, scanning and sending images to companies that make address labels, ornaments, coffee mugs, stamps and similar, or entering photographs in any type of contest. If you would like to use a portrait by Mitzi for any of these purposes, please contact me and I will be more than happy to work with you. Aside from the legal issues, scanned photos simply do not have the same quality as the portraits printed by our professional lab. Mitzi would like every image out there associated with her name to meet her quality standards. Thank you for your cooperation. All clients will now be required to sign a copyright agreement before taking orders home.
